SECURITY

National Security is increasingly important, in both industrialized and developing nations. The first responsibility of any government is to provide security for its people, but it is no longer enough to focus only on defense. In an age of increasing extremism and suicide attacks, the need to provide security solutions is clear. Three areas where FPEG has world-class solutions include:

Hostile Vehicle Management (HVM) – We see extremists using cars and trucks loaded with explosive targeting key installations. FPEG offers a range of HVM Solutions including a range of hi-tech crash barriers capable of stopping a 7.5-ton truck driven at 80 kph safely. These barriers are the product of advanced design and specialist engineering expertise backed by rigorous testing and certification based on both computer modeling validated by physical crash tests. FPEG’s barriers are approved by the Centre for Protection of National Infrastructure (CPNI), part of the UK intelligence service, MI5 and are in use with Foreign & Commonwealth Office and many other clients in over 200 countries.

Improvised Explosive Device [IED] Detection – FPEG offers a highly innovative IED detection systems for use at vehicle checkpoints, combining advanced software, highly innovative detectors and a hardened tablet-based control unit giving the operator an instantaneous visual readout of any potential hazards hidden on the underside of the vehicle. The system is compatible with automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) systems and offers a database in which details of vehicles known to present a risk can be logged enabling the system to provide the operator with early warning should a high-risk vehicle approach. Use of these IED detectors, with the barriers above, provides enhanced security, whilst still allowing free flow of vehicular and pedestrian traffic in and out of key installations.

Cybersecurity – We work with partners who are leading edge in the field of cybersecurity both in terms of defending key data and systems from cyber-attack but also in delivering effective counter-measures to defeat those intent on destabilizing the state. FPEG’s partners include former senior officers from CVHQ, the British Government’s center of excellence tasked with securing the nation.
